11th Annual Conference of the Social Sciences: Call for Abstracts

Call for Abstracts

The Florida Society of the Social Sciences (F3S) invites you to present your paper or poster at the 11th Annual Conference of the Social Sciences (CSS). The conference, themed “Pushing Boundaries: Extending Reach and Amplifying Voice in Social Science Research”, will be held at the University of Florida, all day Saturday March 19, 2016.

Smith Photo 8-17-08 PhotoshopOur keynote speaker will be the renowned Dr. Patricia Hill Collins, Distinguished University Professor at the University of Maryland and Charles Phelps Taft Emeritus Professor of Sociology in the Department of African American Studies at the University of Cincinnati.

This is an interdisciplinary conference that provides graduate and undergraduate students from diverse fields of the social sciences the opportunity to showcase their research in a collegiate environment and to network with other social science students/researchers on campus.

Submission Guidelines

All undergraduate and graduate social science students are eligible to submit abstracts. Submit 250-word abstracts for paper and poster presentations to Sydney Golditch at sgolditch@ufl.edu

When submitting your abstract, please email the submission as an attachment and put “CSS Paper Submission” or “CSS Poster Submission” with your initials in the subject line of the email. The deadline to submit an abstract is January 29th, 2016. We will make acceptance decisions on a rolling basis, and you may not hear back about your acceptance at the same time as other submitters. We will respond in as timely a manner as possible. Early submission is encouraged.
