Please help F3S fund the Conference of the Social Sciences

5942196_1441732238.7349The Florida Society of the Social Sciences (F3S) is a graduate student-run organization that facilitates professional development and research within the social sciences. The organization is housed by the Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Florida.

Each year, F3S hosts the annual Conference of the Social Sciences (CSS). This conference serves as an opportunity for graduate and undergraduate students from a variety of different academic fields to present innovative research, brainstorm ideas, and collaborate with their peers from a variety of Florida colleges and universities.

F3S seeks to foster a cooperative and educational environment, actively working to unite the academic community with the larger Gainesville community, increasing the scope of our civic and scholastic contributions to our world. Many of the students involved in F3S and the CSS will grow to be the community, economic, and educational leaders of tomorrow.

In the past ten years, the CSS has grown to expand across research topics, fields, disciplines, colleges, even universities, expanding from a small local conference to one that includes hundreds of student participants each year. With each successive conference, the CSS becomes more diverse, reflecting broader ranges of research and more budding scholars from a variety of locations across the state of Florida.

With your help, we can ensure this year’s conference with keynote speaker Dr. Patricia Hill Collins is the best and most professional event yet! Help us reach our goal of $1000.00 by February, and support student research!
