19th Annual Conference of the Social Sciences

The Florida Society of the Social Sciences (F3S) will be hosting the 19th Annual Conference of the Social Sciences (CSS) at the University of Florida on Saturday, April 19, 2025. This free, interdisciplinary conference provides social scientists of all levels with a platform to showcase their research, engage in scholarly discussions, and connect with fellow researchers. The conference is expected to run from 9AM to 5PM; a complete program will be provided closer to the conference date.

This year’s theme is “Deconstructing Academia: Diverse Voices, Methods, and Perspectives,” which aims to highlight research that explores underrepresented methodologies, populations, and topics that are often seen as non-canonical within traditional academic disciplines. The 19th Annual CSS will feature a keynote address from Dr. Rachel Grant (UF Journalism) and a qualitative workshop led byDr. Rafael Ramírez Solórzano (UF Canter for Latin American Studies).

While we encourage submissions that align with this theme, we also welcome research on any topic relevant to the social sciences. If you are interested in presenting your finished research or works in progress at the conference, please review the Call for Abstracts. If you are interested in volunteering, please review the Call for Volunteers.
